Boarding

Pioneer Animal Hospital offers boarding for our dog, cat and even exotic animal friends.  Our boarding policies are designed with the safety of all our patients and guests in mind.  If you have questions about specific policies, please do not hesitate to ask.

All of our boarding guests are housed in climate-controlled ares that are cleaned thoroughly on a scheduled and as-needed basis.  Dogs are walked 4 times daily (weather permitting) around our approximately 1.7-acre yard.  

Boarding guests are fed Science Diet food or food that you provide, depending on your individual preference and instructions.  For the protection of your belongings, we ask that you do not bring toys, blankets, towels, pillows, bowls, etc.  We will provide plenty of bedding and have a more than adequate supply of containers to suit your pets needs. 

Dogs and cats are required to be completely current on their vaccinations prior to entering the kennel.  Vaccines must have been administered by a licensed/qualified veterinarian/veterinary facility.  Owner-administered vaccinations are not honored.  Vaccine requirements are as follows:

Dog Vaccinations:

DA2PP, Rabies, Bordetella (within last 6 months)

Leptospirosis - recommended for most, not required for boarding

Cat Vaccinations:

FVRCP, Rabies

Feline Leukemia - recommended for some, not required for boarding

All boarding guests should be free of internal and external parasites.  Animals found to have parasites during their stay here will be treated at their owners’ expense.
