Pioneer Animal Hospital has the ability to hospitalize those pets that require in-house treatment and monitoring. Our trained veterinary technicians are competent in IV catheter placement and routine patient monitoring. IV fluid pumps will provide accurate fluid administration on an on-going basis. For our distressed or respiratory compromised patents, our ICU features an oxygen cage with the ability to administer some medications via nebulizer.
*Please note due to time and staffing constraints we are unable to provide 24-hour care. If your pet’s condition requires intense 24-hour monitoring we recommend transfer to Mission MedVet or the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center.
During veterinary school at Kansas State University, Dr. Wood received specific training on basic husbandry and veterinary care for numerous exotic pet species. We would be happy to examine and make recommendations for your pet.
